On 5/16/26, Bishop Records hosted their final show at the 8×10 in Baltimore, MD. WAX took the time to chat with us about how he started making music, his hip-hop influences, and what he’s listening to now.
WAX @bigwax is a rapper, singer, and songwriter who has been a underground favorite for two decades. He was signed to Def Jam Records, has a Number One Billboard hit song in several countries in Europe, and has a dozen or so albums under his belt. DJ Hoppa @djhoppa is a veteran hip hop producer who has racked up hundreds of millions of streams on his various projects. Hoppa joined as Wax’s tour DJ in 2024 and on the road, the two quickly discovered a deep creative chemistry and a shared obsession with making music as often as possible.
